You will support faculty and research teams with budgeting, expenditures, salary and effort, subawards, and financial reporting throughout the award lifecycle. The role emphasizes proactive monitoring of sponsored activities, ensuring sponsor and university compliance, and effective closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education/experience.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in post-award research administration.
• Knowledge of RMS (Research Management System) and SUBS preferred.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor sponsored projects budgets, expenditures, and reconciliation.
• Approve purchasing documents and guide expenditures per grant policies.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for PIs and senior leadership.
• Monitor spending, overdrafts, and cost sharing; assist with closeout and revisions.
• Coordinate grant transfers into WashU and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements.
• Track reports (RPPRs) and respond to agency reporting needs.
