Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an experienced Grants Budget Specialist to support the pre-award lifecycle. You will help faculty develop competitive proposals, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance across sponsor guidelines.

The role blends analysis, collaboration, and meticulous budgeting across multiple departments. This position is primarily remote with on-campus meetings at least monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of RMS (Research Management System) and SUBS; understanding sponsor guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Proposal/Grant Management: support proposal development and submission, budgeting, justifications, and compliance.
• Award Management: monitor NOA, RPPRs, revised budgets, and transfers.
• Research Compliance: gather biosketches, protocols, and other supporting documents.
• Research Reporting: track grants in online systems and generate standard reports.
