Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Grant Accountant (Remote) to support the Sponsored Programs & Research team. You will process financial transactions, prepare records, and guide management on fiscal decisions while ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, FASB and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities include preparing sponsor invoices, performing closeout reviews, managing Federal Draws, and producing required financial reports. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree required.
• 1–3 years of sponsored project (post-award) administration or accounting experience.
• Familiarity with 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance, GAAP, GASB, FASB.
• Strong Excel/Office skills and numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit sponsor invoices with accurate information and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Uniform Guidance; audit complex records and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage Federal Draw processing and journal entries.
• Review awards/ contracts expenditures, payments, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare SF-425 and other sponsor financial reports as required.
• Monitor accounts receivable and perform collections as needed.
• Maintain Standard Work and pursue process improvements.
