Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Government Account Manager to sell the ADC Diabetes Care line to regional government accounts, including Federal facilities such as DoD and VA centers. This field-sales role involves developing strategies, training, and cross-divisional collaboration to expand access and exceed sales goals.

Responsibilities include territory management, budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining quality system effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 3.0–5.0 years of proven sales track record at Abbott or similar; 4+ years if outside Abbott.
• Previous sales with VA, DoD, Indian Health; Service before self mindset.
• Experience with Managed Care and contracting.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and contract/legal skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, etc.) for account solutions.

Responsibilities

• Sell the full ADC Diabetes Care product line to regional government accounts.
• Develop account-specific strategies and win market access regionally and locally.
• Manage territory, forecast, and business reviews; travel as needed.
• Ensure quality system effectiveness and monitor profitability and margin impact.
• Grow government accounts regionally and expand new product sales and distribution.
