Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care seeks a Government Account Manager for a remote role covering the Great Plains region. You will sell the full ADC product line to regional government facilities, drive access initiatives, and expand the customer base with DoD, VA, Indian Health and Payors.

Responsibilities include territory management, training implementations, account management, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver value and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business, Communications, Health Sciences or equivalent experience.
• A high degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• 3.0 to 5.0 years of proven successful sales track record at Abbott Laboratories or equivalent; 4+ years if from outside Abbott.
• Experience with VA, DoD, Indian Health; Military background or family in Military; Managed Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Sell to key government target facilities, including cross-divisional initiatives to grow market share and exceed quarterly sales goals.
• Manage territory planning, travel and appointments with top facilities; conduct semi-annual business reviews and forecasting.
• Develop account-specific strategies, create customer commitments to change, and implement transitions after close.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, Inside Sales and Contract Marketing to develop solutions for regional accounts.
