Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Governance Engineer II to turn enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into practical, automated engineering solutions that scale across the organization.

You will develop governance‑as‑code, reusable standards, and self‑service guardrails to securely enable API access and AI agent use, working with architecture, security, risk, and data teams to balance governance with innovation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, API governance, or a related technical field.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting REST APIs and integrations (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Experience implementing governance-as-code and CI/CD pipeline controls (security scanning, policy validation).
• Knowledge of API security concepts: OAuth, authentication, authorization, least-privilege access.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise policies into implementable API and data governance standards.
• Maintain governance artifacts: standards, reference implementations, reusable components, guidance.
• Onboard APIs to enterprise catalogs and governance platforms; monitor usage and compliance.
