CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Governance Engineer II to transform enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into practical governance solutions. The role emphasizes governance-as-code, automated guardrails, and cross‑functional collaboration to secure data and enable innovation.

You will partner with architecture, security and data teams to implement policy, automate compliance, and drive secure adoption of AI-enabled development tools across engineering groups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering, API development, or related technical field.
• Experience with designing REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, auth, least-privilege).
• Familiarity with governance-as-code and automation for policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise policies into implementable API and AI governance standards.
• Develop governance-as-code, reusable patterns, and guardrails for APIs and AI agents.
• Collaborate with security, data, and architecture teams to automate compliance and approvals.
• Monitor lifecycle of APIs, data contracts, and agent workflows for security and quality.
• Create self-service templates and documentation to simplify governance adoption.
