Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Governance Engineer II to turn enterprise API, data, security, and responsible AI policies into practical, automated governance solutions. You will build governance‑as‑code, reusable standards, and guardrails enabling secure API and AI access, collaborating with security, data, and architecture teams.

You will strengthen API and AI security, automate approvals, and create self‑service governance tooling that scales across enterprise engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, or related field.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation for governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Review API specifications and data contracts for alignment with enterprise REST and data standards.
• Translate policies into implementable governance standards and reusable patterns.
• Establish guardrails for AI agents to securely access APIs, tools, and data.
• Monitor lifecycle, compliance, and adoption of governance artifacts.
