Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Governance Engineer II to translate enterprise API, data, security, and Responsible AI policies into practical governance solutions. You will create governance-as-code, guardrails, and reusable standards that securely enable APIs and AI agents to access enterprise data and tools.

In collaboration with security, architecture, data, and engineering teams, you will strengthen API security, automate compliance, and improve lifecycle management and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, or related technical field.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience implementing governance-as-code, policy-as-code, and automated checks.

Responsibilities

• Translate policies into usable governance standards, templates and reusable patterns.
• Develop governance-as-code to secure APIs and enable safe AI access to data and tools.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, data, and engineering teams to enforce controls and monitoring.
• Onboard APIs to catalogs, developer portals, and governance platforms.
• Build self-service templates and automation to reduce manual reviews and speed adoption.
