Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Go) to design and implement the control plane powering GPU-as-a-Service. This remote US role targets bare-metal provisioning, multi-tenant cluster orchestration, and API-driven workflows.

You will work with REST/gRPC, Go, and Kubernetes to enroll servers, provision OS, and assemble clusters on high-performance hardware. Strong API design and infra experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services.
• Proficiency in Go and Kubernetes.
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning (BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management).
• Experience with asynchronous/workflow-driven systems (Temporal).
• Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Knowledge of multi-tenancy and data isolation.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure API Design: design and maintain REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal lifecycle and cluster operations.
• Provisioning & workflow development: build asynchronous workflows for server enrollment, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up.
• Implementation: maintain consoles to visualize hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health.
• System reliability: design error-handling, idempotency, and reconciliation loops for long-running provisioning.
• API development: design RESTful/gRPC services with proper versioning and gateway patterns.
• Kubernetes knowledge: work with Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns.
• Bare-Metal provisioning: hands-on with BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management, hardware inspection.
• Asynchronous systems: build workflow/event-driven systems (Temporal) with retries and state consistency.
