Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build high-performance storage software that integrates with Kubernetes, with a focus on Go-based control planes, drivers, and tooling for AI/ML workloads. This role supports remote work within the United States.

You will contribute to declarative provisioning, CI/CD automation, and air-gapped deployment scenarios in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Go (Golang) in production systems.
• 5+ years of experience building distributed production systems at scale.
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience as a developer, with Infrastructure as a Code approach.
• Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals (NFS, CSI)

Responsibilities

• Storage Software & Integration: design and build control-plane services, drivers (CSI), and tooling for storage on Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Software & Automation: write production-quality Go code with tests, reviews, and IaC pipelines (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Platform & Hybrid Delivery: deliver storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes via CAPI and K0rdent; plan for air-gapped environments including Harbor and PKI/TLS considerations.
