Weekday 1 seeks experienced Go engineers to build datasets teaching AI agents to reason about real codebases. You will tackle high‑level questions on large production Go repos, requiring runtime evidence and careful analysis beyond a single file.

Work is fully remote in our Studio with tasks paid per approved unit. Onboarding includes identity verification and quizzes; you’ll join experts across time zones to ensure quality, reproducibility, and robust task design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with production Go.
• Ability to navigate large unfamiliar Go codebases and reason about runtime behavior.
• Fluency in Go concurrency, interfaces, module boundaries, and standard library.

Responsibilities

• Select tasks from a pre-validated pool of Go repositories, each pinned to a git commit.
• Explore the repository until you understand the subsystem and its history.
• Rewrite task questions to challenge frontier agents while remaining well-defined.
• Adjust rubrics and foils to reward correct reasoning and reject plausible-but-wrong answers.
• Run the Studio validation loop and iterate until all stages pass.
• Document work in the task README and address reviewer feedback.
