Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking experienced Go engineers to build datasets that teach AI agents to reason about real codebases. You will handle high-level engineering questions across production Go repositories and require runtime evidence to resolve.

This contract-based, remote role pays $130 per approved task and operates within our Studio. Onboarding includes identity verification, tax forms, and a calibration quiz before access to tasks is granted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with production Go.
• Ability to navigate a large unfamiliar Go codebase and explain runtime behavior.
• Fluency in Go concurrency, interfaces, module boundaries, and the standard library.
• Experience with distributed systems, networking, storage engines, or Kubernetes tooling is relevant.
• Precise written English; the questions and rubrics you write are the product.
• Comfortable with git at commit level, containerized environments, and CLI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Select tasks from a pool of Go repositories, each pinned to a git commit with rubrics and a golden solution.
• Explore the repository to understand the subsystem and PR/history.
• Rewrite the task questions to challenge frontier coding agents while staying well-defined.
• Adjust rubrics and foils to reward correct reasoning and reject plausible-but-wrong answers.
• Run the full Studio validation loop and iterate until all stages pass.
• Document work in the task README and address reviewer feedback.
