Job summary

Cisco Systems in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer for the Splunk Platform Authorization team. This remote role focuses on building backend services in Go that power secure, scalable access across enterprise environments and cloud-native platforms.

You will translate designs into high-quality code, participate in design reviews, and help modernize C++ services while supporting on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining backend services in Go.
• Experience in complex production environments and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Go for scalable authorization and service-to-service communication.
• Translate designs into high-quality, maintainable code and participate in reviews.
• Investigate production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Modernize established C++ services and distributed infrastructure (Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with teams and participate in on-call rotations.
