PointFive in New York is hiring a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead and scale a global SE function. You will own technical pre-sales strategy, improve conversion, and build cross-functional rhythms with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.

This role requires 6–12+ years in Solutions Engineering with 3–6+ years in leadership, and deep DevOps/FinOps experience across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 6–12+ years in Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–6+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record in pre-sales execution and translating technical insights into quantifiable business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the SE org and drive high-impact outcomes.
• Hire, coach, and develop SEs with clear performance metrics.
• Own technical pre-sales execution, discovery, POC design, validation, and close.
• Partner with Sales on account strategy and deal orchestration.
• Standardize the pre-sales motion with templates, success criteria, and executive readouts.
• Ensure quality handoffs to implementation and customer success.
