Job summary

Stripe seeks a Senior Global Payments Performance professional to lead data-driven discussions with merchants on optimization strategies across card costs, acceptance, fraud, and cross-border flows. You will build optimization narratives/tools and partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure merchants succeed with Stripe.

You will synthesize feedback to inform Stripe’s product roadmap and help advance self-serve offerings, while staying ahead on industry best practices and Stripe

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in payments or operations at a leading tech company or payments consultancy.
• Deep expertise in card network costs at the acquirer level.
• Deep expertise in interchange and scheme fees at the merchant level.
• Understanding of e-commerce payments, card-based processing and optimization.
• Knowledge of card network rules, local payment methods, and PSD2/PSD3.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
• Self-starter capable of driving business results.
• Experience presenting to merchants.
• Subject matter expert in payments for internal and customer-facing advisory.
• Develop optimization playbooks and stay updated on Stripe innovations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data processing, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with existing and prospective merchants and train the Sales team to lead discussions.
• Serve as internal and merchant-facing expert on payment optimization strategies.
• Gather Stripe’s payments expertise to create optimization narratives/tools with rigorous analysis.
• Deploy sophisticated optimization playbooks and analyses across Stripe’s customer portfolio.
• Synthesize and relay customer feedback to inform Stripe’s product roadmap.
• Provide feedback to improve self-serve tools and playbooks.
