Job summary

Stripe’s Global Payments Performance team seeks a seasoned expert to drive data-driven optimization discussions with merchants and partner with Sales to differentiate Stripe in deals. You will craft narratives and playbooks, leveraging deep payments knowledge to improve acceptance, fraud strategies, and cross-border flows.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in payments, ability to navigate ambiguity, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in payments or operations at a leading technology company or consultancy in the payments industry.
Deep expertise in card network costs at the acquirer level.
Deep expertise in interchange and scheme fees at the merchant level.
Understanding of e-commerce payments, card-based processing and optimization strategies.

Responsibilities

Lead discussions with existing and prospective merchants; equip Sales with tools and training.
Serve as an internal and merchant-facing expert on payment optimization strategies.
Develop optimization narratives/tools supported by rigorous analysis from Stripe’s payments expertise.
Deploy sophisticated optimization playbooks and analyses across Stripe’s customer portfolio.
Synthesize feedback to inform Stripe’s product roadmap.
Provide feedback on tools and playbooks to improve self-serve offerings.
