Jobgether is seeking a Global Category Manager, Mechanical for the United States. The role leads the global mechanical category strategy across a broad portfolio including castings, forgings and plastics, partnering with factories and global stakeholders to strengthen supply continuity and deliver measurable value.

You will drive strategic sourcing, negotiate key agreements, and manage cost optimization programs in a dynamic, analytical business environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management for mechanical components.
• Ability to translate plans into operational and financial results.
• Strong skills in supplier management, negotiations, and procurement processes.
• Experience aligning factories, local teams and global leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global mechanical category strategy, including supplier footprint, risk mitigation and cost optimization.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives following CIPS processes and ensure supplier capability.
• Negotiate agreements, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions.
• Oversee procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-reduction programs.
• Identify and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Manage supplier contracts and monitor performance and relationships.
• Align global stakeholders on priorities and ensure strategy execution.
• Monitor category performance and translate objectives into measurable results.
