ABB Inc. is seeking a Global Category Manager to own the mechanical category (mechanical components, castings, forgings, and plastics) for its Analytical business line.

This senior contributor role consolidates global strategy with factories, aligning local, regional, and global teams to build a resilient, cost-optimized supply chain. You will shape strategy, drive execution, and manage supplier relationships in a demanding market impacted by tariffs and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global strategy for the mechanical category within the Analytical Business Line.
• Lead sourcing strategies using the CIPS process to ensure capable and capable supply base.
• Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and renew price lists.
• Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs.
• Identify and select suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Provide contract management oversight with suppliers.
• Ensure category sourcing targets are achieved across local, regional, and global teams.
