Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Sr. HR Technology Analyst for Hourly Compensation to design, configure, and maintain complex compensation processes across countries and facilities using Workday and related HR technology.

You will deliver scalable, auditable solutions with governance and strong user impact. You’ll partner with HR, Payroll, Compliance, and Analytics to translate wage structures, grades, allowances, and step progression into robust Workday configurations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in HR tech, HRIS, compensation, or related field.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on Workday configuration, focus on Compensation.
• Fluent in Workday Compensation building blocks and related modules.
• Experience with Workday EIBs and mass data updates; data reconciliation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure end‑to‑end Workday solutions for global hourly compensation.
• Translate CBAs, country laws, and policies into scalable Workday configurations.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Analytics, and HR to ensure accurate downstream processing.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to hourly compensation.
• Lead or support projects to standardize hourly compensation configuration.
