Job summary

Enovis seeks a Global Category Manager for Electronics & Enabling Technologies to develop and execute global sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and support product development across Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Operations. The role focuses on cost, quality, and supply continuity with a strong emphasis on lifecycle management and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of sourcing experience, plus familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.
7+ years in sourcing, category management, procurement, or supply chain.
Experience sourcing electronics, electrical components, enabling technologies, or complex products.
Experience supporting new product development and commercialization programs.
Strong supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.
Experience managing global suppliers and supply chains.
Knowledge of electronics, component lifecycle management, and supply risk mitigation.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.
Strong analytical, financial, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute global category strategies and multi-year roadmaps.
Manage assigned supplier portfolios and category spend.
Lead RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding.
Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, and benchmarking to identify cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and risk mitigation opportunities.
Utilize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Landed Cost principles to support sourcing decisions.
Deliver annual cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives.
Partner with Engineering, Product Development, R&D, Quality, and Operations throughout the product lifecycle.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs through supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and launch readiness planning.
Influence component, technology, and supplier decisions to improve cost, manufacturability, scalability, and supply continuity.
Participate in technology roadmap, design review, and product development activities.
Lead component obsolescence, PCN, EOL, and last-time-buy activities.
Own strategic supplier relationships and executive supplier engagement.
Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, service, innovation, and capacity.
Conduct supplier business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop business continuity, dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers and technologies.
Monitor market conditions, component availability, and supplier risks to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Develop business cases, cost models, and sourcing recommendations.
Lead cross-functional projects supporting category objectives and business goals.
Communicate sourcing strategies, supplier risks, and performance metrics to leadership.
Support contract negotiations, inventory strategies, and supply recovery activities as needed.
