Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Director of Community to define and own the player experience across Community Management and Customer Support for a new, unannounced project. The role is remote within the US and requires building scalable systems, processes, and partnerships as the game grows to millions of players.

You will lead strategy and execution, establishing the function from ground up, while collaborating with Marketing, Product, Development, and Analytics to deliver exceptional player experiences

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Community Management, Player Experience, or Live Operations for live-service games.
• Proven ability to build community or customer support functions from the ground up.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in fast-moving environments.
• Experience managing agencies or external partners for global player experiences.
• Influence product strategy through player insights and feedback.
• Strong understanding of live-service player expectations and trust-building.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and strategy for Community Management and Customer Support as pillars of live service.
• Lead global Community strategy across stages from announce to worldwide launch.
• Build a global player feedback loop translating insights into actionable development input.
• Own community engagement across launches, updates, live moments, and communications.
• Oversee global Customer Support strategy including ticketing, escalation, and knowledge management.
• Define community health and sentiment metrics using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to align player perspective with planning.
• Scale Community and Customer Support disciplines with clear priorities and standards.
