Whatnot is seeking a detail-oriented GL Accounting Associate to manage month-end close across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliant US GAAP practices. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports external audits.

You have 2–3+ years of accounting experience (private/public), strong Excel/data skills, and familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, ZIP, Gappify, and Workday. Hybrid work from homes and hubs available in SF/NYC/LA.

Competenze

• BA/BS in Accounting; CPA is desired
• Detailed understanding of month-end close processes and thorough US GAAP expertise
• Experience in e-commerce/tech industries preferred
• Advanced Excel and data transformation skills
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment while running tight deadlines
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, takes initiative to simplify and improve processes
• Prior experience with NetSuite, FloQast, ZIP, Gappify, and Workday is a bonus

Mansioni

• Month-end close: responsible for assigned monthly GL close tasks, posting entries, reconciliations, analytics, and variance explanations across multiple entities
• Ensure efficient day-to-day operations: create and manage entity-level reporting in NetSuite and day-to-day finance tasks including process improvements
• Ad Hoc Projects and requests: support external audits, own ad-hoc projects (process improvements, SOPs, memos, software implementation)
• Cross-functional partnership: manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality information to business partners
