Job summary

Himalayas is seeking a GitHub Specialist on a remote contractor basis to support a customer project focused on completing and documenting real-world GitHub workflows. You will complete workflows, record your screen, and provide detailed interaction data to support AI development.

The role requires hands-on GitHub experience, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical steps clearly while working independently from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on GitHub experience in professional, project-based, or open-source environments.
• Experience with data annotation, labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, or model evaluation is preferred.
• Must have current access to GitHub and be able to use the platform independently.
• Comfortable recording and sharing your screen while completing GitHub workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly explain technical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned workflows and tasks within GitHub using practical software development and version control experience.
• Navigate GitHub features related to repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration.
• Create, edit, review, and manage repositories and common GitHub workflows based on provided instructions.
• Use Git and GitHub to complete common version control tasks such as branching, merging, commits, and pull requests.
• Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.
• Create realistic prompts and detailed rubrics based on completed workflows.
• Document workflow steps and clearly explain the GitHub tools, features, and actions used.
• Review task outputs for accuracy and alignment with project guidelines.
• Follow project instructions and quality standards while working independently in a remote environment.
