About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a GitHub Workflow Evaluation Specialist to complete realistic GitHub workflows and produce high-quality interaction data for AI system development. You will work directly with repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration features while documenting the technical steps and decisions involved.

What you will do
Complete assigned GitHub workflows using practical software development and version control knowledge. Create, edit, review, and manage repositories according to provided instructions. Perform common Git tasks including branching, merging, committing, and creating pull requests. Record your screen while demonstrating workflow steps and explaining the tools and actions used. Create realistic prompts and detailed rubrics based on completed workflows. Review task outputs for accuracy and alignment with project quality standards.

Required skills
Strong hands‑on GitHub experience in professional, project‑based, or open‑source environments is required, along with practical knowledge of Git and version control workflows. You should be able to use GitHub independently with current platform access, communicate technical processes clearly, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Comfort recording and sharing your screen while demonstrating technical work and the ability to work independently as a remote contractor are also important.

Helpful background
Prior human data experience, including data annotation, labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, model evaluation, or related work, is helpful. Familiarity with GitHub repositories, pull requests, issues, and collaboration workflows will support success in this role.

Pay
