Essential Energy is seeking a GIS Business Systems Manager to lead a team delivering GIS applications and reporting for our network assets. The role provides strategic direction for GIS platforms and collaborates with business stakeholders, ICT, and vendors to ensure GIS solutions meet operational needs.

You will oversee design, development, testing and deployment of GIS system changes, manage priorities, and promote data quality and asset management through spatial information.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a technical GIS team
• Broad experience with GIS data structures and systems
• Experience coordinating projects in utilities
• Knowledge of GIS applications in asset management

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage a team of technical specialists responsible for supporting and developing GIS applications.
• Manage team resources, performance and development requirements to ensure the team can meet current and future business needs.
• Monitor and prioritise operational issues, system enhancements, projects and deliverables across the GIS team.
• Oversee the analysis, design, development, testing, release and implementation of GIS system enhancements.
• Ensure system changes meet functional and technical requirements and are appropriately documented and managed.
• Manage operational and technical support for GIS applications and systems in accordance with agreed service levels.
• Manage the design, implementation and maintenance of standards for spatial data used within and across GIS applications.
