Job summary

PacBio is seeking an Inside Sales Representative II to drive growth in life-science and genomics markets. This remote role includes ~10% travel and focuses on qualifying opportunities, renewing service contracts, and expanding instrument consumables usage.

You will collaborate with field teams to ensure smooth follow-up and use CRM and marketing tools to optimize outreach. You will build a robust pipeline, manage top-of-funnel growth, and deliver customer insights to Marketing and Field Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genetics, or a related life-science field.
• 2+ years in sales development, inside sales, or pipeline-focused roles within life sciences or genomics.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed pipeline-creation targets and renewal quotas.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Relentless focus on building long-term customer relationships and revenue opportunities.
• Enthusiasm for cross-functional teamwork with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

Responsibilities

• Bridge marketing campaigns, inbound demand, and field execution for high alignment.
• Execute targeted outbound and inbound campaigns to generate high-quality leads.
• Grow a robust pipeline of accounts, contacts, and qualified opportunities.
• Qualify opportunities by assessing needs, timelines, budgets, and decision processes.
• Proactively engage existing customers for on-time contract renewals and upsell.
• Collaborate with services teams to drive consumables pull-through on active instruments.
• Work with Territory Account Managers and Genomics Sales Specialists to hand off opportunities.
• Utilize CRM, prospecting, and marketing automation to track activity and cadence.
• Provide real-time market insights to Marketing and Field Sales.
