Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Biological Sciences, Genomics or related field is required.
• Minimum 3+ years of customer-facing sales experience in life sciences/genomics or equivalent role.
• Competitive, self-motivated with a proven sales track record and ability to grow territory.
• Self-starter with a strong desire to prospect and win business while building relationships.
• Strong public speaking skills with the ability to handle objections and communicate technical and business arguments.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication; comfortable engaging with C-suite audiences.
• Role requires a home office within the defined territory and ~50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets for PacBio instrumentation and consumables in the defined territory.
• Use CRM for pipeline management and communicate opportunities with field and internal teams.
• Represent PacBio professionally and communicate scientific/technical info to customers.
• Read and communicate key findings from publications and PacBio product info to the sales team and customers.
• Keep knowledge current on market trends, applications, and competition.
• Develop and deliver workshops and seminars, in-person and virtual, to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with Territory Account Managers, Inside Sales Reps, and District Sales Managers to meet goals.
• Train other team members on products, applications, and market trends.
