AES is seeking a dynamic Generator Modeling Engineer for ACE’s renewable portfolio. You will oversee generator models from interconnection studies through construction and operation, collaborating with consultants and utilities in a fast-growing environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years in modeling software (PSSE/PowerWorld/PSLF), interconnection experience, and strong documentation skills. Remote work is supported; travel is minimal.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 1–5 years of experience with modeling software (PSSE, PowerWorld, PSLF) preferred.
• Interconnection package experience is preferred.
• Understanding of MOD standards and PRC-024 is required.
• Able to review complex analysis and develop formal docs, reports and presentations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and tasks.
• Ability to work remotely and independently for extended periods.

Mansioni

• Prepare, review, and submit generator models for interconnection packages, ISO, and NERC requirements.
• Ensure generator model builds meet Transmission Planner expectations and ride-through requirements.
• Gather data from manufacturers, contractors, and consultants for model builds.
• Verify generator models with substation schematics, settings, and controller behavior.
• Track and implement generator model upgrades per ISO and NERC requirements.
• Respond to modeling requests and concerns from Transmission Planner/Planning Coordinator.
• Oversee model validation field tests for MOD-025, MOD-026, MOD-027 verifications.
• Guide projects for compliance with MOD standards and PRC-024 ride-through.
