Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Senior Accountant Manager to lead a team of accountants in preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements for condominium and homeowners associations. You will supervise, train, and direct staff to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance within department policies.

Responsibilities include overseeing financial statement preparation, supporting audits, and providing ad-hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus.
• CAM license; CPA certification a plus; prior experience in property management, real estate and/or residential management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily functions of the assigned team and ensure processes and procedures are followed.
• Maintain timeliness by meeting deadlines and communicating with the team and leadership.
• Review accountants’ work and monitor quality control of all transactions.
• Provide direction and assist in investigations and resolutions of internal/external problems; address open items.
• Support audits by independent CPA firms and post audit adjusting entries.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and research data to answer accounting questions.
