Job summary

RCH Solutions is seeking a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Workflow Automation Engineer to design, automate, and operate cloud-based platforms for lab, research, data, and workflow-driven applications. The role focuses on GCP engineering, Python automation, ETL/data pipelines, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform, and orchestration tools such as Mendix, NAN, Nextflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, IAM, or networking.
• Strong programming and automation experience with Python.
• Experience supporting ETL pipelines and data processing automation.
• Experience with Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform or another IaC tool.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support solutions on GCP including BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and related services.
• Develop and maintain ETL/data pipeline automation for structured and unstructured data workflows.
• Build automation using Python and shell scripting for workflow execution and data movement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize workflows and enable cloud-native development.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments and data pipeline releases.
• Create Terraform modules for repeatable GCP infrastructure deployments.
• Integrate workflow or lab orchestration platforms such as Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or similar.
