Job summary
Canon Business Process Services is seeking a Technical Writer for a work-from-home role. The candidate will review technical materials, understand complex gas turbine information, and develop a broad range of manuals and procedures.
This position supports NPI tooling and field procedures, with collaboration across engineering teams and digitization of legacy formats. Ideal candidates have strong writing ability, familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe, and experience with document revision
Qualifications
- Experience writing and revising technical procedures.
- Knowledge of document revision control and standards.
- Strong MS Office and Adobe publishing skills.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication.
- Background in gas turbine maintenance or field engineering is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review and convert drawings and BOMs into technical docs.
- Write, revise, proofread, and standardize procedures.
- Maintain revision control of procedures and documents.
- Create fillable PDF formats for mobile devices.
- Collaborate with engineers to update field procedures.
- Digitize legacy formatting to modern templates.
- Tag metadata for master index search.
- Work with databases and digital libraries.
- Ensure accessibility of procedure documents.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather content.
