Job summary

NAES Corporation is seeking a Technical Writer in a remote-capable role to produce technical documentation for power plants and related systems. You will gather data from engineering sources, develop complex procedures, diagrams, and technical materials for field use, and coordinate with clients and the project manager.

The role requires 2+ years in technical writing and 2+ years in heavy industrial operations, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in technical writing.
• Two years of operations experience in heavy industrial or power generation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office for technical writing.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write technical documents for power facilities including installation, start-up, operating and maintenance procedures, and manuals.
• Research and collect data from engineering docs, drawings, and source data.
• Adhere to procedure revision guidelines and writing standards.
• Interview engineers and project team members for information.
• Select visuals to illustrate material and organize content.
