Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Team Leader to guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering subsurface gas and electric utility infrastructure projects. Remote work from home is possible, with on-site options in Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Tampa, FL; and Norwell, MA.

You will shape project strategy, mentor staff, drive safety and quality, and manage budgets. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of engineering leadership experience, a PE license, and strong knowledge of QA/QC practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience with technical leadership and client-facing PM experience
• Experience managing utility infrastructure projects required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Expert knowledge of engineering fundamentals with QA/QC, and regulatory compliance
• Advanced proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of gas engineering professionals, ensuring engagement and technical excellence
• Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and project delivery of gas infrastructure initiatives
• Mentor technical staff and managers to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals
• Directly manage subsurface gas and electric utility projects from planning through closeout
• Monitor financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Maintain clear communication with leadership and project teams on milestones and results
• Champion quality control, risk management, and regulatory compliance
