Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Team Leader to join our Gas Team. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering subsurface gas and electric utility infrastructure projects across remote or Albany/Syracuse, NY; Tampa, FL; Norwell, MA; or Boston, MA.

The candidate will oversee staffing, budgets, and schedules, mentor engineers, ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance, and communicate progress to leadership. A PE license and 15+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering required.
Minimum of 15 years progressive engineering experience with leadership and client-facing project management.
Experience managing utility infrastructure projects required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Advanced proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a team of gas engineering professionals, maintaining morale and engagement while delivering technical excellence.
Oversee staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational activities for gas infrastructure projects.
Mentor and develop staff and managers, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
Directly manage subsurface gas and electric utility projects from planning to closeout.
Monitor project financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Maintain clear communication with leadership and project teams on milestones and outcomes.
Champion quality control, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
