Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Team Leader to lead the Gas Team, directing multidisciplinary teams across subsurface gas and electric utility infrastructure projects.

The role supports delivery from planning through closeout with a focus on safety, budget, and schedule, and offers remote work or on-site options in Albany, Syracuse, Tampa, or Norwell. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience required, including technical leadership and client-facing project management experience.
• Experience managing utility infrastructure projects required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of gas engineering professionals, keeping a pulse on team morale and engagement and fostering engagement, collaboration, and technical excellence
• Oversee staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational activities to support the successful delivery of gas infrastructure projects
• Mentor and develop technical staff and managers, promoting high quality work that meets safety, schedule, and budget expectations
• Directly manage subsurface gas and electric utility infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity, from planning and proposals through execution and closeout
• Monitor project financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support business practice goals
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with leadership and project teams, sharing performance updates, milestones, and successes
• Champion quality control, risk management, regulatory compliance, and project audits to support safe, reliable, and resilient gas solutions
