CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Gas Controller to remotely monitor and control gas pipeline systems, ensuring safe and reliable delivery for customers. You will manage SCADA-based operations, forecast demand, and coordinate with multiple departments to balance supply with customer needs.

The role requires understanding of gas flow and pressure dynamics, along with the ability to respond to abnormal conditions and maintain thorough documentation for compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred or equivalent experience.
• Requires foundational understanding of natural gas operations and flow/pressure relationships.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience; 3 years multi-tasking and complex systems troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor gas system, maintain operation within CRM rules and regulatory targets.
• Monitor SCADA, identify AOC, and communicate or adjust settings with teams.
• Maintain real-time operational status and document deviations for audit readiness.
