Job summary

Peoplease is seeking a Garnishment Specialist to join a remote, distributed team. The role manages involuntary deductions such as child support and tax levies, coordinating with Payroll, HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely garnishments.

The ideal candidate has experience with garnishments, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while adhering to confidentiality and regulatory requirements. Pacific schedule is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of multi-state garnishment processing experience preferred.
• FPC certification or similar is highly preferred.
• Ability to work Pacific schedule (8am-5pm M-F) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process court-ordered wage garnishments and related notices (child support, tax levies, etc.).
• Enter wage garnishment orders into payroll system accurately and timely.
• Maintain electronic files for withholding orders and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate garnishment vendors and internal stakeholders for timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing garnishments.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, courts, and agencies with clear communication.
• Support reconciliation of garnishment accounts and assist with EFT payments.
• Provide progress reports and maintain confidentiality of information.
