Job summary

Spotter is seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper to oversee US GAAP-compliant accounting, audits, and financial reporting. This full-time, remote role supports budgeting, controls, and tax data preparation for a growing tech company.

You will manage daily accounting operations, generate monthly and annual GAAP reports, and optimize workflows using QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills. A BA in accounting/finance is required; CPA/CMA a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven background in GAAP-compliant accounting and bookkeeping.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CPA/CMA a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting including AP/AR, GL entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial reports.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Suggest improvements to accounting processes and tools.
• Support tax data preparation and liaise with tax professionals as needed.
• Manage QuickBooks Online and generate reports; uphold internal controls.
