This fully remote role can be located anywhere in the USA, with responsibilities across regional and national initiatives.

You will drive planning, development, and execution of donor-focused communications, securing alignment with organizational priorities and growth objectives while guiding a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Experience leading fundraising communications teams.
• Strong storytelling and content development skills.
• Background in fundraising, philanthropy, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop comprehensive fundraising communications plans.
• Mentor, manage, and develop a team of communications professionals.
• Partner with senior executives to ensure consistent messaging across initiatives.
• Utilize storytelling to support fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with national and regional marketing teams on campaigns.
• Manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Create and oversee communications content (talking points, messages, press releases, social posts, newsletters, FAQs, product sheets).
• Lead external communications and public relations activities.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with communications standards and reputation management.
• Develop and manage content for RedCross.org, The Exchange, and social platforms.
• Support visibility and fundraising success through strategic communications.
