Stone Coast Fund Services Ltd. in Portland, Maine (remote opportunities available) seeks an experienced fund accountant to join our hedge fund administration team.

You will record and reconcile portfolio activity, calculate NAVs, and allocate fees across investors while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will also generate reports for fund managers and investors, prepare materials for board meetings, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hedge fund accounting experience.
• Experience liaising with fund managers and service providers.
• Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Ability to learn complex concepts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile all portfolio and fund activity for assigned clients.
• Calculate the fund's NAV adhering to industry standards and internal procedures.
• Allocate profit and loss to investors including management and performance fees.
• Process and record fund expense payments and ensure timely cash wire requests.
• Generate and deliver fund and investor reports to fund managers and investors.
• Prepare materials for board meetings, financial statements and audits.
• Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure service levels.
• Review NAV, investor statements for accuracy against standards.
• Mentor, train, and support fund accountants.
• Ensure fund accounting tasks are completed accurately and timely.
