Job summary

Fund Services Group is seeking a Fund Administration Accounting Associate to support the private fund lifecycle, deliver white-glove service, and learn fund concepts while contributing to the team with accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities include recording entries, tracking investment activity, reconciling cash, preparing fee schedules and financial statements, and collaborating with auditors and tax teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field (or equivalent coursework/experience).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus, but not required).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear and professional written communication.
• Willingness to learn fund concepts like fees, capital activities, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with fund administration software.

Responsibilities

• Record basic accounting entries and learn cash and accrual activity.
• Track investment activity and assist in preparing performance reports.
• Reconcile cash balances and help identify/discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for management fees, allocations, and fund-related calculations.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, investor notices, and tax schedules.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax teams, and third-party providers.
• Participate in team learning and onboarding of future hires.
