Job summary

GitLab is hiring a Fullstack Engineer for the Duo Client SDK team. You’ll build the shared foundation for every GitLab Duo client, evolving the SDK with versioned TypeScript packages that editors, the web-based Duo Chat, and external apps can consume.

You’ll work in TypeScript across frontend and backend systems, designing the Node.js core and public API while ensuring backward compatibility. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and ship package implementations with minimal guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience building TypeScript-based frontend and backend features.
• Design durable public APIs with clear interfaces and versioning.
• Strong emphasis on secure credential handling and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested TypeScript features for moderate scope problems.
• Ship small features with minimal guidance and contribute to reviews.
• Publish TypeScript packages from the GitLab Language Server to consumers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on SDK surfaces.
