Job summary

Shift Lab, a fully remote across the U.S. team, seeks a Lead Developer who will guide technical direction and mentor teammates, shaping front-end and back-end solutions with Next.js, TypeScript, React, and Tailwind CSS.

You’ll write clear Jira stories, collaborate in Agile sprints, and partner with designers and project managers to deliver innovative, scalable software while elevating team standards and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications.
• Expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS and Contentful.
• Agile development with Git workflows.
• Strong team collaboration and mentorship capabilities.
• Formal education or equivalent real-world software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead with collaboration: guide design, build, and optimization of front-end and back-end.
• Empower others: mentor juniors and provide thoughtful code reviews.
• Sprint together: participate in Agile planning and task estimation.
• Develop & deliver: craft scalable code with Next.js, TypeScript, React, Tailwind.
• Write & share: articulate technical requirements in Jira stories.
