Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (Full Stack) to join the Agency Module, Platform Billing, and Onboarding teams. You will work across frontend and backend, delivering scalable APIs, data-driven workflows, and integrations including Stripe.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade full-stack applications.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development, including APIs and service integrations; NestJS experience preferred.
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular; Vue.js preferred; strong component-based development and state management.
• Experience building/rest APIs and working with microservices and service-to-service integrations.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and data modeling; performance considerations.
• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven patterns using GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Ability to debug production issues across frontend, backend, databases, and integrations using logs and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with automated testing, Git, CI/CD, and production deployment.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver features across Agency Module, Agency Onboarding, and Platform Billing in backend and frontend.
• Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations (e.g., Stripe) focusing on reliability and security.
• Create performant frontend experiences for agency management, onboarding, and billing workflows with modern frameworks.
• Own features end-to-end from requirements through deployment and on-call production support.
• Leverage AI-first coding practices and tools to write, refactor, test, and debug code while ensuring guardrails.
