Job summary

24-MAG LLC is offering a specialised full-time Software Engineer role focused on building and refining internal platforms, APIs, and workflows. You’ll contribute to production systems, data models, and cloud infrastructure, combining frontend and backend tasks with strong TypeScript practices.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and modern cloud-based architectures, plus a bias for high-quality, scalable software and deep ownership of shipped features.

Qualifications

• Experience building production full-stack systems
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend, backend, or both
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js; NestJS advantageous
• Experience building user interfaces with React
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and data modelling principles
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed system communication patterns
• Exposure to AWS or another major cloud platform
• Awareness of microservices, serverless, or event-driven architectures
• Strong problem-solving ability and ownership mindset
• Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving technical environments
• CI/CD / infrastructure as code / DevOps experience is advantageous
• Experience building internal developer platforms or workflow automation is beneficial
• Exposure to AI-adjacent or data-heavy products is advantageous
• Experience in startup, research, or high-growth environments
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability best practices

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end full-stack systems for internal workflows
• Build scalable backend services and APIs with clear interfaces
• Develop high-quality frontend applications for internal teams
• Translate requirements into reliable technical systems
• Contribute to systems across design, implementation, and production support
• Build backend services using Node.js and TypeScript frameworks
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed integrations
• Data modelling and PostgreSQL schema design and optimisation
• Develop internal interfaces with React and modern frontend frameworks
• Ensure frontend reliability with backend services and data sources
• Improve observability, reliability, and developer experience
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and ongoing improvement
• Balance speed, scalability, and maintainability in platform decisions
• Support monitoring, deployment, and infra practices for stability
• Collaborate with product, operations, design, and engineering stakeholders
