Job summary

OfferUp is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the Business team. This role is fully remote from Colombia, with opportunities to own features across the stack—from React frontends to Java services and data pipelines.

You will design, build, test, deploy, and measure impact, collaborating with product, design, data, and business stakeholders. Strong full-stack skills and a bias for shipping are essential; AI coding tools familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering features end-to-end with strong ownership.
• Strong full-stack skills across React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, Java.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy new user experiences and backend services.
• Own features end-to-end: plan, design, develop, deploy, measure, and iterate.
• Break down complex problems and deliver within deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship reliable software.
• Review code, mentor teammates, and contribute to runbooks and on-call.
