Job summary

Rivet, an AI-native accounting firm, is hiring a remote internship position. You will ship real production work across Go, React, protobuf, and AI tooling, collaborating directly with tax professionals and clients.

You’ll join a small, fast-moving team and contribute to automated workflows that improve tax processes. We value ownership from day one, direct feedback, and a slope-based hiring approach over credentials.

Qualifications

• You've built side projects, open source, a company, or shipped something you wanted to exist.
• You have working knowledge of at least one of Go or React and real interest in the other.
• You can read unfamiliar code and make progress without a tutorial.
• You write clearly, remote and asynchronous work relies on strong written communication.
• You welcome feedback and act on it.
• You're enrolled in or recently out of a degree program, or are self-taught at an equivalent point.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped feature end to end including Postgres schema, Go service, protobuf contract, and React screen.
• Pair with a named mentor from day one and have a standing weekly check-in.
• Tackle automation problems, like parsing filings and reconciling ledgers.
• Talk to accountants daily to gather feedback on what to improve.
• Ask questions in public to keep work transparent.
