Job summary

NAVA Software Solutions is seeking a true full-stack engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire, remote in the PST zone. You will own features from the Swift/SwiftUI client to the Rust backend, focusing on a Finder-grade file browser and robust interop between components.

You should bring hands-on AppKit experience, Rust async/tokio expertise, and the ability to design evolving RPC contracts while balancing performance and future scalability.

Qualifications

• Must-have: Swift + SwiftUI with AppKit experience.
• Must-have: Rust with async/tokio in a large workspace.
• Must-have: Strong concurrency and async on Swift and Rust sides.
• Must-have: gRPC / Protocol Buffers RPC design and evolution.
• Must-have: macOS fluency - code signing, entitlements, notarization, sandboxing.

Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing features end-to-end across Swift/SwiftUI client and Rust backend.
• Build and evolve Finder-grade file browser bridging AppKit to SwiftUI.
• Design and evolve the gRPC / Protobuf contract between app and agent.
• Work in a large Rust workspace with async/tokio and shared crates.
• Ship native: code signing, entitlements, notarization, sandboxing, observability.
