Job summary

Greenhouse is seeking a pragmatic full-stack contractor to build and maintain features using Ruby on Rails and React. You will write clean, well-documented code, keep APIs and data models aligned with product needs, and contribute robust tests to ensure stability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a distributed US & Canada team, a remote Argentina location, and a focus on performance and reliability of our web applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production code experience
• Experience contributing to projects and driving them to completion
• Experience with Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React
• Direct experience with AI and agentic software development (Claude code, Codex, etc)
• Experience with Rails and REST/web development
• Experience collaborating with Product and Design partners

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and maintain features using Ruby on Rails and React, following established engineering patterns
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that aligns with existing architectural standards
• Maintain RESTful APIs and update PostgreSQL data models to support evolving feature needs
• Write unit and integration tests (e.g., RSpec, Jest) to ensure feature stability
• Collaborate with engineers through code reviews, standups, and discussions
• Participate in a shared support rotation to diagnose and resolve issues
